Success Stories!

Thanks to American Humane "Second Chance Fund" The following medical expences were covered by them!

Noel came to our shelter with an injured eye. Our Vet felt that the eye was damaged beyond repair and would not be functional. She has had a rough life and her eye was probably damaged fending for herself. Noel is now living comfortably in a wonderful home!

Doc came to our shelter with a severed rear leg. Our Vet recommended amputating the leg because when she stepped on it fluid and blood were expressed. The leg was infected and would not heal properly in this condition. Doc is now named Deanna and living comfortably in a wonderful home!

Spice came into our shelter as a stray being found along side of the road. She had an infected leg with gangrene setting in. The leg was five times the normal size. Her leg was amputated and she recovered wonderful! Spice is now living in a forever home with wonderful people!

Cody came to us with a partial leg. We wonder if maybe his mother chewed on it. He seemed to be doing ok but then the end of the leg started breaking open from use. As a result the bone came through the skin and we made the decision to amputate the leg for his best quality of life. Cody is now living in a wonderful home with Doc (Deanna)!

Hannah arrived at our shelter as a stray. She had a fractured leg. Our Vet was able to repair it by putting a pin in the leg. The Vet also discovered that her jaw was broken in half. That was repaired by wiring the jaw together. Hannah deserved more than to just be thrown away. We had our Vet repair her jaw and leg and Hannah is living happily in a forever home now.

Tavis arrived at CCHS as a stray. He came to our shelter with a broken leg, it was an older fracture. After going to the Vet, it was determined that his leg could not be saved. Tavis had his leg amputated and recovered great. He is now living happy with a family and getting along wonderful.
